Director's Message

My name is Christy Allen, and I have proudly taken on the role of Director at Putnam County Public Library as of August 1, 2023.  I was raised in Unionville and, after graduating from PC R1 High School, I pursued a BA in English at the University of Missouri - Columbia, affectionately know as Ole Mizzou.  Upon completing my education, I returned to my hometown to start a family and raise my daughter. 

My vision is to foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all our library patrons while providing a diverse selection of new and exciting books to explore.  Additionally, I aim to expand the services offered by the library to better serve our community.  Stay tuned for new programs coming soon!  It is a pleasure to serve as your director, and I warmly invited you to stop by and introduce yourself.
